This year’s EclipseCon Europe begins on the 28th October, and BREDEX GmbH is once again involved in the conference. We are pleased to present four talks about different topics as well as a tutorial during the conference. Of course, a particular highlight for us this year is the Project Quality Day, a full theme day on the 29th October which focuses on quality and is the descendant of the Eclipse Testing Days since 2009.

You’ll have noticed us talking about the Project Quality Day over the last weeks and months. The theme day at EclipseCon is dedicated to Quality Assurance and Quality Management, with experts giving their insights on topics such as UX, agile, Behaviour-Driven-Development (BDD), enterprise application tests and unit testing. There is plenty of opportunity to chat to speakers and other participants during the day and at the networking events in the evening.
At our last demo camp in June, Bredex showed a demonstration using Internet of Things technology. Maximilian Sahm and Felix Kirschner researched into using Jubula to test hardware devices – and the results can be seen in the IoT Playground during the conference. As well as seeing their results, you can also win a LEGO Mindstorm® set by solving a puzzle!
EclipseCon is a yearly event for the Eclipse Community to learn about new developments, ideas and technologies. BREDEX GmbH is a Solution Member of the Eclipse Foundation and develops the free test automation tool Jubula/GUIdancer. Achim Lörke, Managing Director of Bredex, is the Program Chair for this year’s EclipseCon Europe.
This year, the Eclipse Testing Day is stepping up a gear and joining the Eclipse Con Europe: on 29th October, the “Project Quality Day” will take place as a part of the yearly Eclipse Con in Ludwigsburg. If you only have one day to attend a quality conference this year – then this day is perfect for you. Expert practitioners will present insights and experience in topics such as UX, agile, BDD, enterprise application tests, unit testing and more. The value of the day is not only in the talks and topics, but also in the discussion and networking possibilities that the Eclipse Con – and a Project Quality Day registration – offer.
EclipseCon and spaces at the Project Quality Day are fast selling out, so secure your place by registering now.

Bredex has been an active Eclipse Community member for many years and is highly involved in testing and quality assurance. Bredex contributes to the Open Source test tool Jubula/GUIdancer and provides standalone versions with a full feature set for free under: http://testing.bredex.de.
As in previous years, Bredex is highly involved in EclipseCon Europe 2014. The ECE14 provides a platform to learn about best practices, insights, case studies, and innovations in the Eclipse community. Once again, the OSGi Alliance Community Event 2014 is co-located with ECE14 to add more breadth and expertise to the program. Our particular focus this year is a Theme Day with a full track of content on project quality assurance. The „Project Quality Day“ is a direct descendent of the „Eclipse Testing Days“ that Bredex has organized for the past 4 years..
We would like to encourage our partners and friends to submit exciting topics about quality assurance in an Eclipse context. We are also looking for sponsors to support the day. You will find a list of topics and more information at www.eclipsecon.org/europe2014/cfp or by contacting our team directly.
The integration of the Project Quality Day is a continuation of the Eclipse Testing Day, which has taken place yearly since 2009. The focus of the day is on quality in projects, and we are looking for speakers, sponsors and interested listeners to hear about quality in projects with and at Eclipse.
There will be an Eclipse Demo Camp in Braunschweig on 17th June 2014. Come along to see some of the cool technologies and projects Eclipse has to offer!
Demos include JavaFX, Jubula, Flying Sharks with m2m and Eclipse Oomph. Full details are available on the Eventbrite page and on the Eclipse wiki.
